Default clutch problems

i have a 92 accord with a hydraulic clutch and when i press the pedal to the floor my car still wont start, why? and can i adjust this problem or can i bypass the need to push in the clutch to start my car?

Yes, unplug the clutch switch and stick a paper clip in it. Or if you want to correct the issue, your plastic gourmet probably has fallen apart on the floor mat. Go and purchase this from O'reilly's: Dorman piece (74015)

There's a rubber or plastic stopper on the clutch pedal assembly for the NSS (neutral safety switch). The NSS is a switch that engages everytime you press in the clutch. If the rubber stopper is missing then it will not engage the NSS.

The NSS is part 15 in this diagram and the rubber stopper is part 20.





You should be able to see or feel if the stopper is still there. Remember that there are two stoppers on the clutch pedal.
