Default Remaned engine on 05 Good idea?

115k on my car, with a new paint job and otherwise great condition, new tires etc.

Tensioner froze, timing belt came off, vales bent, engine is cooked.

I was told an engine shop can give me a remanned engine for $3650. Price includes:

Labor to remove old block
Pistons
Rings
Bearings
Oil Pump
Timing belt
tensioner
Valves
Crankshafts

Is this a good price? A 3 year unlimited mileage warranty comes with it. The engine shop has been around for 40 years.

Think so. I got a Nissan with a reman engine (QR25DE) from the dealer. It was $2,600 something (receipt at home). And 1K labor? I don't know the cost of labor.

Correction. It was $1,600+ tax for the engine from Nissan.
