Low Power when AC is turned ON
Accord 92 with 94 Accord 1.8 Engine and AC Compressor. Previous owner had swaped it and the swap guys did not connected AC to the ECU. I did it my self.
It is working and idles perfectly, When you engage AC the idle rises a bit and then stays 100 rpm lower than it was orignally
The problem is that car is very happy when there is no AC, I understand that ac puts extra burden on engine but in my case it robs too much power that i have to floor the throttle to make car accelerate. the car sounds like its taking fuel (as you floor the throttle in carburated car) but rpm rises very slow, if you turn of AC during this car becomes beast again.
Other factors are when I rev car above 3k during drive there becomes high frequency vibration and it just increases with RPM.
What are the things that i should look into? found on internet that compressor has oil, is it like we have to change by draining the old and adding the new?
NOTE: This happens only if car is warmed up not on cold.
