I know a guy with a white type R. This guy realllly likes the idea of being a sleeper. He put gsr brakes and 4-lug hubs on his R with 14" steelies. he took off his wing and front lip. looking at his car, it looks like a base model integra from the outside. to downgrade his engine bay, he put on a black valve cover so unexpecting gsr owners wouldnt know what hit 'em. what do you guys think of that setup? could there be any negative effects to the 4-lugs as compared to the 5-lugs? overall, I like his car especially since he could run 14s for track days.

Its probably not an R dude!!....Who would spend money down-grading a car...may as well have just bought a GSR

 

he could get the same effect by switching to mazda millenia rims and running the hubcaps...

 

I saw the car before he did anything to it so I know its an R. also, the main reason he did it was to make some money for his next car payment. (he sold his stuff off the R and had all the other parts given to him by friends)

 

 

If you want to get tecnical. It still won't look like a GSR, he still has to put the sun roof on, and then change his interior, lose the wing and font spoiler, and then swap the exaust. Then it might look like a GSR, if they don't think color matters.

 

That's even more retarded...if he can't afford an R then why buy one and degrade to make the money back...tell him to stop destroying a perfectly good car and sell it to someone who can take care it it right!!

 

Well, downgrading the brakes wasn't such a hot idea.

And since stock LS's get stolen too I don't see the point. Oh well.
