Never ran a Carfax on my R or had it ran through any other database. Just curious what's on it and don't have the extra $50 to spend right now. So if anybody who paid for the unlimited reports can do a fellow broke R owner the favor I'd appreciate it.

Joe (Doespike) can be a huge help, I've been able to trace a huge portion of the history of mine through him, as well as talking to a few people who actually knew the early owners of the caR. 97-091 has lived a hell of a rough life...rather blew my mind that it's in the shape it is actually.

I have 3 different databases that I use when looking at car vins, but even still, some things are still never reported.

I mean, if I was in any type of accident, I would try and make sure it didn't show up on the vin, clean titles are "worth" more.

It sucks though, because a lot of people don't report certain things, or certain things still don't make their way onto carfax etc etc.

They're very useful tools, but don't show 100%

 

I know he keeps good records. I purchased my R off the original owner who was also a member on here for quite some time (Bbasso). Technically I am the 2nd owner of the vehicle, but I am sure that a carfax report will say the car had at least four owners. The car was in both Rob's name, his father's name, then it went in to my dad's name when I bought it (I was 19 and insurance was cheaper if it was in his name) and now it's in my name (I'm 24 now).

 

I have an unlimited dealer account with Carfax. PM me your VIN and I'd be happy to run it through.

 

As far as I am aware it originated in Florida.
