NEED FRANKENSTEIN ENGINE HELP..!!!!!!!!!
What's up guys,
I have plans on building a frankenstein motor; here's what I have so far:
-B20B short block
-Golden Eagle full VTEC conversion kit
-B18C DOHC VTEC cylinder head/intake manifold
First of all, can this be done..?? And if it is what other parts would I need to make this work..?? Computer, wiring, fuel, etc. I'll take any tips/advice I can get
And thanks a lot for at least taking the time to read this, I appreciate it

https://honda-tech.com/forums/all-motor-naturally-aspirated-44/how-build-%22reliable%22-lsvtec-b20vtec-1676914/ this post is pretty old but has a lot of information on how to make a reliable LS-Vtec/B-20 Vtec what are you goals with the B20 Vtec? do you want to go with aftermarket pistons and rods or stay with stock?
Farmer89511: thanks for the info bro, I appreciate it
and I'm not looking for a ton of power, just something simple; and yeah, pretty much the stock internals on the bottom end but on the top end I'm thinking a pair of EK9 Type R cams just for the better advancement/duration, and an upgraded set of springs and retainers just because I'll already be replacing the cams, I mean might as well, you know..??

On stock bottom end at least get arp rod bolts, new acl or oem honda bearings, gsr/type r oil pump, gsr/type r timing belt, arp gsr headstuds and also as everybody on honda-tech will tell TUNE IT!!!! Some other things I might have left out but that's the LEAST u need to do for it too last. Someone else hear will clarify some other things u need.
Eg.ls.turbo: thanks a lot for the info
and yeah, you're right, on a motor that you're gonna reuse you'll wanna replace the normal wear-and-tear items like the water pump, oil pump, and timing belt
