crome pro...new ostrich, burn2, hulog. using crome 1.5 because xenocron told me newer version have logging issues.

1.. i have the ostrich in ecu...it will load a gold file and run perfect but a regular file i.e. d16z6 will load. steady cel. no code. runs like theres no chip in. take the ostrich out engine does the same thing....also will not datalog with a regular file???? which makes no sense.. only logs with gold bin.

2. if i have a gold bin opened are car running and i put lauch control at 4000 upload and try it works. if i change the rpm again and try it nothing happens. i have to change the timing retard for the ostrich to take the rpm change!!!

3...also plugins wont work for regular files!!!wont install anything.

everything is correct as far as baud and .coms i believe



i know my car has no issure electrically runs good on stock ecu everydayyyy. im wondering if the previous owner didnt chip it right....

 

Remove checksum?

 

start a NEW file (P30), NOT one you've already edited.
plugins tab--> enhancements... click all 3 of the following IN THIS ORDER and hit yes for the popup:
1) remove checksum routine
2) p30 option byte hack
3) quick datalogger +rtp

NOW you can start making changes to the map.

 

if using a newer version of windows, make sure you are starting the program by right clicking and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
