Default cars in limp mode, please help

hi peoples, i got my new motor in my car now and i started it up, seems like its in limp mode because it wont rev up past 3000 rpm and it seems really really boggy, i got 2 CEL 's one for 02 sensor and the other was a code 14 which is iacv. they both seemed plgged in rite but i tried to follow the wiring to the ecu and dont seem to be able to follow it too well.

What has me puzzled rite now is the reason why its in limp mode, these two problems shouldnt be causing it to do that. any help would be great peeps

oh yeah, car is a 93 civic coupe with a d16z6

wow... this sounds exactly like what i am going through right now. i highly doubt it is limp mode, but just to make sure start by getting rid of your check engine lights. i had the exact codes doing a obd I b18 into an obdII hatch. which o2 code is it? next check your timing. this is where i am at. really boggy, won't rev past 3000. take a timing gun to it. in my case, the car is running extremely retarded, and when you try to rev it, it just retards itself out until it almost dies. i would assume you're having the same problem, not really limp mode, cause neither of those two codes would cause the car to react that way... anyways bump for you cause i'm trying to find out too... here are some other suggestions i've been given in my thread

I would think that if it were in limp mode the CEL would flash or at least give you a trouble code worth while.

Where did the engine come from?
Agreed with above to check the timing. Could be mechanical problem and not the ECU.

yes, i read your thread too and im pretty sure its the exact same thing thats wrong with your car. i took mine around the block and it was beyond boggy, trying to get to 4th gear was hard and i only ended up getting to like 30 km/h. Crazy slow. anyways yeah when i rev the car up in the driveway, it wont really go beyond 2500 rpm and it will just rev rite nack down on its own and sound like it wants to stall, this car is making me so angry. I am gonna get my dad to come over maybe tmrw nite and chec k the timing for me
