ElSo a friend of mine has a 99 civic hatch with a d16y8 vtec...we installed a Killswitch to the fuel pump and a couple of days later the would crank but not start..
So i uninstalled the killswitch and checked the fuel pump ,main relay,all fuses, fuel lines and fuel pressure, checked spark at the cables and dizzy, checked all grounds,checked battery voltage(12.6 volts)
Checked fuel filter and every injector, checked timing and timing belt,alternator and everything is good...
So the last thing was the ecu so we swapped it out and it started rite up so we installed the killswitch again and just the other day it happened again
So we checked everything again and it was all within spec...so we got another ecu and push started it and it started...so now no killswitch and i adjusted the timing and its running fine...im gonna do a valve adjustment this weekend and a oil change...my question is do u think the killswitch caused the problem? Lmk know i was baffeled for a minute
