Ok here's the problem: the power lock button works but the drivers side lock gets sorta jammed so it won't allow it to lock. This all happens when the door is open but it does work when the door is closed. What could be the problem?

 

they won't lock....to prevent IDIOTS from locking themselves out of their cars. In other words, it's working like it's designed to.

 

Thanks for the input.. Wasn't sure how it worked.. I have owned many other cars and has never had this happen to me.
