Default question about 96-00 bumper reinforcement bar interchange?

So theres a lot of coupes and sedans at the junk yard, and it seems all are 99-00...

I have a 98 hatch. What I only need the front bumper reinforcement bar. So I am curious if a 99-00 reinforcement bar will work on a 98?

From my searching I see it shouldnt matter if its from a coupe or sedan the front ends are "the same" except minor things but the guts under the covers should be equal. Correct?

Turning a drag car back into a safe street car. Thanks in advance. Been searching a while but its getting late! haha.
I am so used to ED's and I know the 88-89 and 90-91 rebars are different on those...

they're the same. the only difference is the bumper brackets on top.

They are all pretty much interchangeable. However, some are different in weight. I believe the ITR are lighter than the previous integras and civics

Awesome. I had no idea. Thanks a lot!

I will slam a sedan or couple rebar from a 96-98 onto my 98 hatch and just for fun, update you all when its complete with a pic!

they're all the same front ends, so I don't understand why there is any confusion.

Well theres confusion because I guess I just had no idea they were all the same! Haha.

Hopefully the next person to search the key words I chose will find this (must be weird Canadian terminology I typed in... lol)

Anyways, long story short I ended up using a 00 re-bar on my 98. I tried to use the foam from the 00 but it didnt quite work. The rest worked great!

Fit like a champ!
