Was my sons car, he put a hole in the block, he bought a new 2013 CRZ, I inherited a car with a busted motor.
But I will rebuild and replace. She will run again.

The suspension is ****, fart can is too loud, looking for some new stuff...
Was looking at Tokico blue w/ red springs but they in bankruptcy or some type of restructuring ..

Eying Buddy Club Exhaust... Don't want a big *** can,,,
I'm no stranger to turning a wrench.

I want to rebuild my front end, front end is vague and kinda loose.. So I figure I rebuild it..

I have been pricing Moog parts (always had good success with them)

Lower ball joints, tie rod ends...


The rear is another story & I still need a good set of shocks and springs..

It's a daily driver, no racing...

But some spirited driving from time to time..

 

 

Going by the picture below, I think I need new tires..


Anyways, while new to me tires were being installed I noticed the car is sitting on coilovers.. I could not see any marking on them, don't know the brand... Now I need to raise it a little..
I know how to raise it, but no idea on rebound and such..

But still rather have a spring/strut combo.. I want it lowered, but a decent ride..

PO did not use a harness, he hacked it all up!!!

But radio cuts off at higher volumes.. Grounding issue????

 

power issue. you have to run power directly to your battery. it's a known alpine thing.

 

I have not messed with it yet,

Will get it done this weekend..

BTW- That Alpine set up I got sounds pretty freaking good..

Just installed my k9802 old ones took some work to get out but new ones slid in perfect.

 

I have access to an OTC Front End Tool Set, does, ball joints, tie rods etc,
Hopefully I can remove them without hurting myself or the car.

It has a JDM B18C1 installed...
Timing belt, seals, water pump, plugs, wires & some other items I'm probably forgetting..
She Runs's like a champ.

 

Cluster Issue, I have 3 clusters, that each had a different issue, I combined what I could to make one..

BUTTTTT!!

When I open the door: the ABS light turns on...
When I fasten my seatbelt: the door ajar light goes out...

Temp, rpm, gas & speedo work fine..( which were most important to me)
But I know it will bug me...

Hoping it is an easy fix...

Any thoughts???

 

What are the clusters?
What years?

The wiring changed when the changed the clusters from 98-01

You may to combine them differently into the right housing
