Hi I am new to the form so I'm sorry I break any rules lol.

Okay so my car started to smoke a little and it looks blueish smoke so I know it's oil.

It's a 1997 Honda Civic 1.6 SOHC V-Tec 5 speed 149 K Miles.

So I am now trying to see if its my piston rings or my valve seals or valve guides. The car has good compression.

The car runs great no loss of power or anything like that.

I would say bad valve seals.

Yeah i would say seals as well. I had my rings go out in my old civic and there was clouds of smoke. That's how i knew it was my rings. Good Luck!

 

Rings can be going bad without blowing smoke with those numbers. Do a wet compression test, or, even better, a leakdown test.

 

Thanks everyone, I'm just going to replace the engine itself.
It was the valve guide seals I'm just going to run it until I have enough saved up to drop a Jdm engine in.
