i know its been asked, but how many quarts are needed to do an oil change for a b16. i know i can pour and use the dipstick, but id like a more precise number/way of knowing. sorry for the stupid question. thanx in advance

I do 3.5.. then wait a few mins.. check the stick and then slowly add

3 qrts. of oil and one of "Hi-Tach" it gives it more viscocity.

Just add whatever Honda recommends for the 99-00 Si.

 

what kind of oil does the first gen B16 need? 5W-30?

 

When I worked at a oil change place we used 5-30 for the 99-00 Si. Id assume the same for your car. And I believe its 3.75 quarts according to my book. I think thats with a the oil filter full.
