As long as the downpipe and manifold isnt aluminum you should be good. Aluminum melts quicker than steel and would not make good candidate for header material. For piping it should be fine. Tig weld it to make it look the way it should as mig welded al exuasts look like a wste of energy.

Proper bracing at key point, support the hanger and use all the hanger.

I would find key points where vibration could create stress cracks and address them.

We have had better luck with 14 gauge compared to 16 gauge for aluminum exhausts. But it holds up fine. I even have an aluminum down pipe on my car

I've used 16 gauge and 11 gauge on 2 different cars.. both have been holding up just fine, both are turbo cars making over 500whp and 3-4 years on car.

I haven't delt with the import stuff much or many street cars running it but on some of the turbo racecars I am around they all use it. I have seen a 800ish hp blower car melt the aluminum exhaust that connected to the longtubes while on the 2 step. I am not sure what condition it was in before that happened but it went from kinda loud to really loud quickly.
