How does it accelerate when you don't floor it?

Have you checked for any CELs?

if i accelerate at normal rate it wont go over about 1200 if that..i checked my codes i got one p2184 which has to do with engine coolant temperature sensor , i had also had 15388 which had to do with intake temperature but deleted and it hasn't come back.

I imagine it would be a sensor to your pedal but what have you done to your car as far as tune ups or replacements recently?

i heard it might just be the DBW system ,not sure if true though. I recently got the car about two months back i just have added a injen CAI and suspension but as far as replacing other parts i honestly havn't done much , my idler pulley is going bad so i'm replacing that and the serpentine belt as well as transmission fluid cause my tranny is loud while changing gears and notchy at times i'm at 74,xxx miles.

when you put everything together did you check that everything was connected properly and that your computer was reprogramed to run with your upgrades? the car runs mostly on sensors now and the computer has a lot to do with how your car reacts. if something new is installed that is not factory, usually you want to reprogram it so it can adjust everything else to run in sequence with it.

when things don't respond at the throttle (usually idle and start problems arise) usually it is your air (intake or exhaust), gas (weather it be pressure incorrect or leak), or spark. it is not the spark because the engine turns on and functions well and the air seems fine from what you describe. Check the pressure of the fuel. usually it is at the fuel filter but that would set your check engine light on. The best thing I can recommend for you is to take the vehicle to a professional mechanic and have them check your system with their advance computer systems that will tell them everything that is going on in the car. You can also take it to a dealer since they have this computer too but it is more expensive. Either one will tell you what is wrong. Usually it is just a sensor that didn't go out but is stuck to a specific reading. From what I can think of, your car has one of the throttle sensors giving a set reading and stuck at that reading and therefore not accelerating. Good luck
