'93 Civic GSR Hatch won't start...
I have a 1993 Honda civic VX hatchback with a GSR swap and a p28 chipped ecu. the other day as i was sitting in the drive- thru at the bank, it just died. no warnings, no sputtering or stalling, just dead. before that it had never had any problems at all. it ran perfect! somehow it started again but only if the throttle was pinned wide open, so i had to drive all the way across town at full throttle. i got it home and it died and now i still can't get it to run. it already had a brand new fuel pump, starter and alternator put in a few months back. now ive replaced the spark plugs, the distributor cap, the rotor, the coil pack, and the fuel filter. i cleaned out the idle air control valve, and put all new ground wires in and cleaned them so they are all touching bare metal. still no start. cranks over perfect! just wont start. i can hear the fuel pump engaging i know its getting fuel. i even sprayed ether in the throttle body and still nothing. I'm stumped! Someone please help!!

What alternator did you put in there? My original 1994 alternator went out on me back in January, causing it to not start. I replaced a number of things before finally doing the alternator and it fired right up.

holy mother effer I just re-read my post above and I must have been asleep or something lol. 3 times I typed "alternator" and meant "distributor" every time.
So yeah my original distributor went bad in January causing the car to not start. A new one got it started right up.
