Like the title says, i just picked up my first ek. not new to the honda scene, ive had 9 crx's, just never had any other hondas. Really stoked on this, got it for a STEAL!!! $3200!!!!!!!! Just picked it up yesterday and trust me i have A LOT of plans for her. But as she sits is exactly how i bought her. Now on to the goods...

1996 Honda Civic Hatch (EJ6)

Engine:
B16b swap (thats right CTR engine)
Ingen cold air intake
Exedy stage 2 clutch (brand new)
Fidanza lightened flywheel
No name exhaust (soon to be Apexi WS2)
Previous owner was trying to make it smog legal so he switched the intake manifold to a '00 civic si one. Since my state has no emissions controls ill be switching it back to a type r one.

Suspension/Brakes:
Ksport control coilovers
ASR rear subframe brace and 24mm anti-roll bar
Skunk2 lower control arms
Skunk2 front camber kit
Ractive front strut tower bar
No name rear frame brace

Interior and Exterior are mostly stock.
Red door inserts
Shift ****
Shift boot
CTR rear wing

Like i said, ive got big plans. Mostly want to make a clone CTR with some subtle upgrades here and there. On to the pics...

yea i plan on taking those off and it being a 17 year old car could use a new paint job eventually. but for now she runs like a brand new car and is a blast to drive. im in love with the b16b!

yea, i mostly bought it for the engine setup. its from hmotorsonline with documents. if you look that up its $3600 plus shipping. but the car wont pass california emissions so it was for sale for a while. i love not having emissions in my state.

 

Nice pick up. Sounds like we have similar plans, except my hatch is in storage, and in pieces. Haha.

 

yea im pretty stoked. i had a crx sir replica that i sold a few months ago and ive been missing it ever since.

thanks. pretty excited to start a new project. especially from such a great platform from the get go. guy who owned it was an older gentleman and a certified honda mechanic so i know everything was done right. plus he did everything possible to make it pass smog so nothing was half-assed and all the right stuff is in place. unfortunately for him the state of california wont recognize a B16b since it was never produced in the US. hence the cheaper selling price.

At least it has the correct lip.

 

It even came with the rear lip, just needs to be painted.
