Default B16A OBD0 Knock Sensor Quickie

First off, this is the knock sensor on my OBD0 B16A, correct? It's directly under the intake manifold, close to cylinder #2 I believe.

I had a plug in it, but it was throwing a CEL 23. Here is the plug that was in there while it was throwing the CEL.

It's has orange and black/yellow wires. It fit in the plug whole and matched up wire harness wise so I plugged it in and forgot it. I unplugged it to test if it was a different sensor, because it would throw a new code on top of CEL 23, but it just kept throwing the same code. That's why I'm guessing it's an old plug that isn't used on the new motor. I swapped out a DPFI D15B1 for the JDM B16A. Stayed OBD0. And I guess when I switched the harness over, I was just plugging things in and this wasn't right.

So now I want to know what the plug went to on the OBD0 DPFI D15B1 that was in there before. If it's not important, I'l just going to hack it off and use the plug to run a wire to the ECU for the knock sensor.

Thanks!

Continuity check the wires back to the ECU plug.
See what pins they are attached to.

Tomorrow! I was planning on doing that unless someone said something witty, for instance, "Thats the tandem blah blah control blah blah for the secondary injector." Something that obviously isn't on the car now.

But that is the knock sensor, right?

Where was this my whole life.

But anyways, I have the green looking sensor on the back. But it doesn't do the fans, or at least I don't think it does. I have the temp sensor on the thermostat housing that does it.

But I will wire the knock sensor and go for gold.

Yeah, some engines have it on the back and others have it on the t-stat housing.
Either one works.

Alright, thanks. Today's the day I try and fix the rest of my car. Well, after work of course. And after the sun starts going down. And before it gets dark. But I'll update this and let you guys know what I found.
