Default Stock gsr rebuild: How tight is too tight P2W?

So I'm back to cracking at this motor, 82mm gsr.

My question is how tight is too tight? Helmes states .0004-.0016 for my type of application. This again is a stock GSR rebuild.

If so, what do you think about me hand-honing? Long story short, machinist botched the first job (really excessive taper). New sleeves were put in, and now this is what I've got to work with. The motor sat for a while as I was busy with other things, and now it's time to get back to it. I will not take this block to that machinist, sorry to say, I would rather find another to fix it.

I measured at 5 points within the cylinder, and here's examples of two (tightest and loosest)

T T.....3.2284...........3.2288 (Top) Measuring my pistons (.5" from
l l......3.2284...........3.2292 .......... the bottom of skirt, as per Helms)
l l......3.22855.........3.2296 .......... avg. piston diameter is
l l......3.2288...........3.22965 ........................ 3.2278"
L l.....3.2289...........3.2294 (Bottom) ......... That leaves .0006". taper at smallest diameter.

Just out of curiousity, I measured the top of the piston as well, though somewhat irrelevant, and the top read out to 3.2091"

Should I try and run with this? Hand-hone? Another trip to a machinist? I just wanna be sure I am doing the job right, and right the first time.

My rings were gapped according to endyn's specs at .012 (.012-.016)

Thanks for the response, but i am not referring to piston ring gaps. P2W is a term used referring to piston-to-wall clearance. The service manual says its ok, and no one has much to say about it, so I suppose I am ready to rock.
