So i have a 97 accord ex with a greddy catback.
Its actually pretty quiet and deep but has an annoying very mild drone. Now im ready for it to be silent after almost a year....also i feel no performance gain might even be slower on acceleration lol. But my stock exhaust was rusted out and had big holes everywhere so i have nothing to compare it to lol.
The big shiny Greddy muffler is becoming an eye sore to me and attracts attention i dont want anymore... im thinking stock rsx or s2000 muffler
I want to keep it cheap so im going to keep the 2.25 inch piping and the 2 resonators it came with (btw its a greddy sp1 from a 95 eclipse,i got it hacked up and welded on my accord spent 120 total catback and labor....its not pretty under but no leaks lol.)
So my plan is to cut of the big shiny Greddy muffler off and put on either a stock rsx muffler or a s2000 muffler...Do you guys think one of these mufflers will make it silent even with 2.25 inch piping with the 2 round resonators ?
I basically dont want to hear any drone not even a little, just silence. Im guessing the s2000 muffler might be quieter because of the twin loop in the back from what i read.
Thanks and if anybody is running a similar setup let me know how the sound is.

That was my first thought a few months back but im not digging the look of aftermarket exhausts anymore....I just want something factory looking and near silent as possible, if i put a rsx muffler or s2000 muffler and am still not happy i will probably go to the junk yard and find a newer honda stock resonator and add it on the piping somewhere if that doesnt do it then i will just live with it i guess lol
