need information/requirements on h22a4 and h22a swap
hey i am new to the forum. i have a 94 manual coupe sedan and i want to know the information/ requirements on what i need to perform a h22a4 and h22a swap. i would like information on both engines, because im still deciding which one would be better for my car.
H22A = Import version
There are variants among each kind but the main things you should know are older versions are closed deck (preferable to some) and the "SH" has unique exterior components related to the transmission. I don't know how that effects actually swapping into your car physically. Also the shifter mechanism is different from the civic so a little bit of cutting might be expected.
Outside of the motor itself it's almost to the point that you should already be searching for a mount kit and basing the rest of your research on that. Don't forget you also have the option to use an adapter plate. Search H2B or H2D.
