Default FAL rear window..

Has anyone installed one in their r? Thinking about ordering one for mine, the hatch feels like it weighs like 100 pounds.

yes they scratch very easy and discolor if left in the sun for way to long and on HOT days they can warp if left out for hours on end they are meant for race cars and that's pretty much it. if you want to lighten it up put a carbon fiber hatch on the car

Damn, that sucks though the car won't hardly ever be driven. I would think the glass weighs as much if not more than the hatch, I could be wrong and the shitty fitment mixed with the cf look doesn't appeal to me.

It definitely does, the stock hatch without the window is crazy light.

I picked up a FAL rear window for Mike Marsey way back when and shipped it to him in CA for use on his 98 itr.

His name is rboosted616 on here.

That doesn't surprise me, the glass is thick af. Thanks for all the replies. I'll have to hit up Mike and see how that thing has held up over the years, was his car street driven?

Maybe you could use clear UV window tint on both sides of the fal window so it doesn't scratch or discolor
