Stolen Honda accord, new ignition switch
So my accord was stolen, and i went and bought a new ignition switch. Autozone told me i didn't have to get it programmed, just plug and play.
So i plug it in and my immobilizer won't stop flashing when i try to start my car.
It acts like it wants to start, turns over and acts like it's firing but then it dies immediately.
Please help

Well hell, i do see where that could cause a problem, but can you blame me for being scatter brained? Lol

The ECM/PCM will need to be programmed to accept the new ignition key. For these older Immobilizer systems, many locksmiths can program the new key in; so, not necessary to go to the dealer like the later Accords (e.g., 2003 - current).
You could tape the old key to the new key to start the car and drive it to a locksmith, dealer, etc. to program the ECM/PCM to accept the new key's RFID chip code.
Honda added the Immobilizer starting in 1998; so, other than the additional info. regarding a new key, the other car info. didn't really make a difference to answer the question.

Should be a code you can enter with the e-brake that will allow you to start the car and get it to the dealer or locksmith, look in the owners manual as I might have this confused with the newer Accords.
