Default Accord struts and springs

I have been told that the struts and springs from a 98-02 accord will fit my crv I just has to switch the top hats. But the problem is that the top hat from the crv is smaller then the accord one and I am lost. Any ideas?

That's a very vague thread. I've really been thinking about doing a CR-V suspension master list and not allowing any conversations just pure info. I've read through the threads over & over again. There is a lot of contradicting and misinformation in most of them.

I tried but the springs don't fit inside the crv top hats. The problem might be that the springs are from an acura tl. I was assured they were the exact same though.

okay. Accord Coilovers/ spring/ oem struts WILL work. on coilovers and oem springs. you may still have to do a little modding. ex: for the accord coilovers or oem struts, you need to take the oem crv top hats and put them on the coilovers easy job. might need some spring compressors. also on the rear, you might have to grind away on the coilover/stut lower bushing. on mine the bushing was a lit to long to fit in the lower control arm. So i grinded probably about a quarter inch on each side off so it would slide into the lower control arm. i would stay away from just springs tho. there uneven and just not low enough.
any other questions let me know. hope this helped out

Yeah I figured I was going to have to get coilovers for an accord.

On the subject, how does yours sit so level with the ITR coilovers? When I installed them on my CRV, at max height, they still sucked the entire tire into the wheel well. I was tucking rim, lol.

:sigh: I wish the world would learn what a strut is and what a shock is.
