Need help resolving check engine light 4 - Crank position sensor
First off, the crank position sensor, CKP, is the one inside the distributor, not the crank fluctuation sensor that's on a toothed wheel near the crankshaft.
I've checked all three sensors at the distributor and am seeing around 350 ohms. CHECK
I've checked all three sensors at the ECU and am seeing 350 ohms. CHECK
I've checked all three sensors at the ECU and do not see any shorts to ground. CHECK
I'm guessing that would make it an ECU issue. Is there any way to actually fix the issue with the ECU instead of scrapping it and buying a new one? I'm guessing something in the circuit blew up so if I can just replace a resistor or capacitor and fix the issue then I'd rather do that than spend $200 on a new chipped ECU.
