burning white smoke
hey all...
here's my problem... when i start my car in the mornings it smokes like crazy... but it goes away after my car warms up... but then it will smoke again when i get on the gas hard, like when i'm trying to pass someone on the freeway... what could this be... i have heard a few things but just thought some more imput wouldn't hurt... thanks
btw i do have an intake, cat back and new plug wires in case that matters at all, i've also checked my oil and it's ok, just needs to be changed within the next month its been almost 3k miles

Valve stem seals may need to be replaced. Or could be head gasket. Look at oil and if it looks milky brown oil may be mixing with coolant. Check the coolant too and see if you see oil drops floating in it. Is it overheating too? You can do valve stem seals without taking the head off. Do a compression check while your at it. That might tell you a thing or two. Good luck.
Like ppl have said its definitlyoil burnin. oil burns white,not blue,you probly have a head gasket leak,i would hope 4 ur sake n e way,if head gasket isnt leakin then oil is gettin into your cylinder via valve stem seals or piston rings.i would check the head gasket first then go to valve stem seals,if its neither of them then its ur rings in wich case i personally would either swap the engine or get rid of the car,unless u got alot of time on ur hands.Good luck
Oil burns blue. White smoke usually means running too rich. Could be O2 sensor, or bad spark. How old are the cap, rotor, spark plug wires, and plugs? Try resetting the ECU to relearn the fuel curve, it's free and takes 30 sec.

Blue/Bluish white = Oil
White = Coolant
Black = Rich
