Default Part numbers I need for 98 civic

I have a '98 civic dx hatchback w/ D16Y7. I need a new muffler, ordered a Walker muffler off ebay that didn't fit with the hangers So what is the factory part number for it? Would it be best just to go to a junkyard? I have before but their price was horrible.

Second, someone rammed my car while parked somewhere . What is the part I am missing that clips to the exposed blue holders? I would love to get a part number for it...

I bought a Walker muffler from AutoZone for my 97 Civic DX. It fit fine.

Walker Part# 53162 should be correct for 98 hatch

OEM Part# 75324-S03-A01 for the molding w/ clips $40-$50 from Honda
You can find OEM Part# on various online sites like www.hondapartsunlimited.com
Check the FAQ for more examples

Is $101.35 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/231017866582) a good price for the muffler? Where is the cheapest place to buy a Walker 53162 muffler?

Is there a way I can just buy that plastic piece you see missing in the above photo instead of the whole set that comes with that part number. For instance just #12 in the following diagram..

Thanks!

I heard that you should try using these online coupons and buy it from a local store online then pick it up from said store (purchase online, pick up in store)

http://www.retailmenot.com/view/advanceautoparts.com

That's for Advance Auto Parts, if you have any other auto parts store locally then search for that.

ie:

Otherwise, I would just get an OEM 92-95 Hatchback or 96-00 muffler secondhand .

Yes, the Part #12 can be purchased alone for around $40.

That's a stupid price for a muffler. You can get a Thrush muffler from your local parts store for $30, and get an exhaust shop to weld it on for a hell of a lot cheaper than buying an entire new axleback.

What makes you think that part number is for all of it? That part number is JUST that one piece.

18585 is the SoundFX muffler, and 53162 is the Quiet-Flow muffler. How come nobody has mentioned the SoundFX muffler (18585)? Is it bad?

SoundFX: steel, 1.36lb lighter, $30 cheaper, 1yr warranty
Quiet-Flow: stainless steel, lifetime warranty

Are those the only differences? Are they identical except SoundFX is steel and the QuietFlow stainless? Does one muffle better than the other? I need to decide between the SoundFX and QuietFlow.

What would have come on my car from the factory in 1998, SoundFX(steel) or QuietFlow(stainless)?

I am getting the Walker 53162 muffler since its supposed to muffle better has 3 chambers and lasts longer. Last question...

Should I order a Walker 31614 gasket or Honda genuine 18229-SNE-A01 (previously 18229-S01-X01) gasket? My current gasket is destroyed, cannot reuse.
