Alright for about 5 months ive been running my 95 del sol si with a flowmaster 50 series single in and out and i JUST got pulled over today for it being to loud. I live in ny, any one else have this issue? If i got the muffler welded in instead of clamped and have a resonator put in, will this quiet it down enough for them to leave me alone?

If not could someone recommend a good muffler that wont kill performance but still be nice sound without being loud? this thing was MUCH louder before this was put in, kid had a tanabe race exhaust on with rust holes all over and it was like running with just a header.

 

Why in the hell are you asking us if you'll get in trouble with the authorities in NY? Even if I were still in NY I couldn't tell you that. Check your local sound ordinances and then download a sound level meter app to give you an idea if you're over the legal decibels allowed.

Skip the Apexi and get a Yonaka. Quiet as hell.

 

Buddy club spec 2 just cause you got pulled over ONCE doesn't mean you go out and buy a new muffler ! I've ran my buddy club s2 on my integra for over a year now I have to go to court over it tho . just get one that you can put a silencer in

 

Thanks to everyone who responded, I asked because maybe someone was in the area who may have an idea, after talking with some of the nearby shops they all said the same thing. because he did not test the exhaust i can get it tossed out regardless. Also thank you for the suggestions some of the brands i have not heard of before.
