MagnaFlow Mufflers
I was wondering if anybody here has any experience with the Magnaflow street series, or race series mufflers?
I know that magnaflow is a good brand name as far as quality goes, but I was wondering how they sound more than anything. Plus the prices are pretty good. I don't want my car to sound like a pissed off swarm of bees, or a weed-whacker on crack, but I want a deep throaty sound.
P.S. This is the muffler I was thinking of getting, it comes in both race and street series, I hear that race is a little louder, but I want to know if it is too loud.
Thanks!!!!!

Re: MagnaFlow Mufflers (civEX)
my friends all have them...some are raspy and nasty sounding and others are deep and throaty.....so umm..yeah...
all run no cat and no resonators and 2.5 inch piping.

Re: MagnaFlow Mufflers (50percentRice)
On monday i plan on ordering the Maganflow muffler http://www.magnaflow.com/03mirrorstreetpg2.htm part 14821 or 14813 9Basically the same) . The Race series muffler are made with straight through design for serious racers As mentioned on the website . I believe this application along with 2 or 2.25 inch pipes might be a little too loud . The street Series is made for the average person wanting to increase performance in their economy car . This muffler with 2 or 2.25 inch piping , I think will be just the right sound . I drive a 98 hatch so i dont want something too loud because it will be a pain in the rear to drive . I was goingt oget a ractive muffler with piping but my friend has one on his civic with stock piping and its pretty loud inside . The muffer he has I can get for $80 which is pretty cheap , but I dont want something louder then my radio .
Anyways I have heard nothing but good about magnaflow mufflers . When put on a dyno with custom piping the resoults are very good .
Who needs a name brand full exhaust when something as good or better can be gotten for less then 250$ .
btw : is the street series muffler straight through design .
