no power to blower motor need help!!
I have a 98 integra, and I have no power to the blower motor for the heater at all. I have ground though. The resistor is brand new, the blower works when given a 12v power source so the motor isn't bad. The fuse is good on the underhood fusebox, and underdash fusebox. the relay is good I tested it and made sure it clicked also, and the switch works. The only thing I can think of is a broken wire from the ignition, that gives it power. Does anyone know what color wire controls the blower motor on the ignition? Ive traced the blue/white and im not getting any power out of it coming from the underdash, all the way to the underhood fusebox. Help is much appreciated I cant see when it rains because my windows fog up and of course I have no heat to defrost them.
Are you following a wiring diagram?
What fuse did you check in the underhood fuse box?
Is there ANYTHING else electrical that's not working with the ignition key turned to "II"?
When the ignition key is turned to "II", do you have voltage between the blk/yel and the blk wires at the blower motor relay?

I checked the 40amp fuse in the underhood fuse box. And thats the only thing that's not working when the key is in the on position. and I will check the wires tomorrow when theres light out.
Just so I understand...
You "tested" fuse 55 - 40A, [blower motor fuse] not just eyeballed it, correct?
Have you tested for power at the blower relay socket, there should be two (2) powers, a 12V+ constant, [hot at all times] from fuse 55, [it wiil be one of the larger terminals] the second is a 12V+ switched, [hot in run] from fuse 17 - 7.5A, [one of the smaller terminals] this fuse will be good as it also powers other relay coils and you said there are no other problems.
The last thing to check for is a ground for the relay, that will be the other smaller terminal.
Have you jumped the two bigger terminal in the blower motor relay socket to confirm continuity of the blue/white lead running from the relay socket to the blower motor? 94

Yes I tested the 40A fuse in the under hood fuse box with a test light it had power. The relay I tested was the one under the hood next to the heater fuse. I had power to two of the terminals. I even swapped out the relay with a good one and still no power.
At the plug for the blower motor I'm getting ground out of the blu/blk. And I'm not getting power out of the blu/wht. The 7.5 fuse is good in the underdash fuse box also. Tested with a test light and there's power on both sides.

The blue/black will show a ground if any speed is picked at the blower switch.
No power on the blue/white, may be a connection problem, if everthing else is good, [fuses/relay], so jump the two big relay terminals, [12V+ constant relay input to blue/white relay output], does blower work? 94

I jumped the two terminals and the blower still didn't work. I tested for power at the blower motor plug while I jumped the terminals and I had no power out of the blu/white
Then you have an "open" circuit on the blue/white lead between the fuse box and the blower motor plug, trace the blue/white from the fuse box and find/fix the open.
The first place to check is the plug to the fuse box with the blue/white lead in it, test for power at it, then move down line. 94

still haven't figured this out. I forgot to mention I did have to fix some wiring on the passenger side headlight harness because the car is right hand drive with a jdm front. The wiring they did to make the jdm front was hacked to hell so I fixed the headlight harness. And the wiring the the Cd player was hacked to hell also and I fixed that. All the wiring I fixed was soldered and was wrapped with heat shrink. Maybe that has something to do with it? but I don't recall seeing a blu/white wire anywhere.
You will have to trace the blue/white from the relay to the blower motor plug and find the open circuit.
Or run a new lead from the relay to the plug. 94

So I looked back of the under hood fuse box, and there's two wires going to the fuse for the blower motor. A white/red and the blue/white. I'm getting no power out of the blue/white of course but I am out of the white/red. I couldn't tell what wires went to the relay by looking underneath it. Any one know which wires go to the relay for the blower motor?
The blue/white is the only one you need to be concerned with it is the output lead of the blower motor relay, power from fuse 55 - 40A only goes to the input of the relay and that is internal, [inside fuse box] it powers nothing else.
Unplug the blower relay and jump the bigger terminals in the relay socket. if that does not get you power on the blue/white coming out of the fuse box, the fuse box is the problem. 94
