Tail lights/cluster fuse keeps blowing
91 civic hatchback SI
Fuse 8 (taillights/cluster/liscense plate lights) keeps blowing
I was driving home and got on the highway, as soon as I got on the highway and into 5th gear my fuse blows. I got home and put another fuse in and again as soon as I get on the highway into 5th gear around 3200 rpm it blows. Now it blows as soon as I turn my lights on.
Things I have tried.
Made sure my radio wires including the dimmer switch were okay (they were)
Inspected my tail lights bulbs. Found a few bulbs that the glass was loose in the socket. So I just unplugged the tail lights harnesses. Tried again and the fuse still blew.
disconnected my cluster and the dimmer switch ect. On the cluster bezel. Still blows
Disconnected my radio harness from the after market plug. Stock harness is uncut btw. Still blows
Disconnected the climate control. Still blows
I have the right fuse (10A) never put anything higher than that in also.
Any ideas? I visually inspected the wires and looms on the circuit that I could see and they were fine. How else/what else can I check to find a short?
Any help or advice would be appreciated,
Thanks

Probably u keep putting the new fuses back on while the battery is still connected...Disconnect battery first then install fuse,,if still the same then check the wires for tailights there might be a exposed wire thats touching another wire or the positve wire of a tailight touch ground some where or the cluster connectors
Civic4life ill give that a try.
Vega I forgot to mention but I checked that too but thanks
Anything else you guys can think of? Im at work so im trying to get some ideas before I get to work on it again.
