Default car wont start

car's not wanting to start. there is fuel and spark but the spark looks weak. when i crank it, it will try to start but doesnt and you can see and smell the cloud of unburnt fuel. The ecu had been throwing a code 9 but it has always started. Now it just wont start..

Inspect the coil see if the ohm reading is within specs and inspect the icm

New update:changed coil and igniter still had same issue, then I cut j1 jumper to run original Ecu program; it started but was smoking really bad and throwing the map sensor code never threw that code befor now

sorry its a chipped ecu on chrome.. i cut the jumper at the j1 spot on the ecu to bypass the chip and run the stock ecu program.

so i think i've solved my issues! Its the conversion harness. I was doing the tests for the map sensor and I unplugged it and turned the key on and there was no voltage at the yellow/red wire. When i went to the ecu and checked there, there was also no voltage. But I had the top off the ecu so i checked inside the ecu and boom there is voltage, but its not getting to the other side on plug D of the ecu where the map sensor wire is. And also I think the same thing is happening with my no start issue with the fuel pump. Just for anyone out there that has a "no named" ecu jumper harness be carefull. So I'm either going to buy a good obd0 dpfi-obd1 harness like from boomslang or just solder and heat shrink the obd1 plugs to my dpfi harness and bypass a jumper harness all together so then I can eliminate those problems in the future.

Have you checked the fuel main relay?

yes i have done all the tests on it and its fine. The weird thing now is that when you go to turn it on position II instead of it doing a prime it will click repeatedly and get faster and faster (the main relay and the fp) i've NEVER seen this before. Im guessing its wiring somewhere so i've takin everything apart and pulled the entire harness and im going to go through it and make sure there is no cuts or opens and im going to basically solder in obd1 ecu connectors to the stock harness to bypass the jumper.
