Looks like it would fit a 1978 Civic. Honda keys have been double sided for a long time.

 

How do you know it's JDM? Could just be an aftermarket one?

 

I didn't ask if you thought it was "cute", but since you brought it up I actually think it looks cool, the top is very small and it's got character. Looks better than the Integra type-r key, but then again the oem Acura key looks better then that piece. It's out of a jdm itr.

looks just like a Honda dealer ship key. they used those as extras.

 

Its probably a valet key or something, i know that the older acuras had a wierd looking key that was needed in order to program new keys, it was for acura legends, this might be something like that?

Besides the slightly smaller head, it looks a lot like the key to my '91 Civic Si.
