Default 16x8.5 Rota Grid Off-roads contacting calipers

1999 Integra LS, stock brake set up.
Just got some 16x8.5 wheels. I think 0 offset?
They fit nicely, no fender/tire rubbing, and not much camber.

Well after putting them on, I tried to roll the car I noticed something was holding the car back. Not the parking brake!
I checked the wheels and I can see the backside of the rims are contacting the caliper bracket arm.

I never heard of this being a problem on other cars. I am sure this is the only thing wrong. It is just the fronts contacting that I can tell. And this contacting is made the front brakes (brake pedal) barely work. I can use the parking brake for the rear brakes just fine. Don't worry, I took the wheels off for now and I am waiting for your opinions on what to do.

What is the safest way I can correct this problem? Adjust camber? Shave down the caliper bracket (the skinnier arm part)? Shave down some of the backside of the rims? What tool should I use to shave some off (I can't find my angle grinder )?

Spacers ! don't start cutting away at the brake caliper.

they're cheap and would fix your problem.

Get spacer plates. Not washers, unless you have a death wish.
Oh yea, make sure the lug nut can make 5 full spins on the stud, them torque them down
80 ft lbs trq
If you cant get 5 lug turns, id recommend getting extended studs.

Thanks for the answers guy. Yeah I was going to get spacers. I am pretty sure my front tires will rub the fenders if I put on spacers, so I was just checking if there was another solution.
I was recommended to get only hubcentric spacers. I hear the others cause a lot of wobbling. Is this true? Any particular size, 5mm?
I called Autozone and O'Reilly's and they don't have the hubcentric brand and they were the ones who said to get that brand and not the others. Do you know what common stores would carry them? And I am looking online and it is showing each brand/make of car has it specific one, wouldn't they all be the same if they are the same lug pattern?

I will probably get spacers and try to get some smaller tires, it's on 205/45 right now, I might try to get 195/40. Is that safe? I believe I would need at least that size if not smaller if I add on spacers.

Thanks all. Anyone know what size spacers I should get?
And do you know what tire size would be considered minimum for these 16x8.5" wheels?
I have on 205/45 right now and it fits perfectly, but if I add spacers the fronts will eat the fenders, it looks like 205/40 would clear with spacers.
Would 195/40 or 195/45 be safe? This car is setup more for looks/form rather than function.

But maybe I can camber it enough and everything will clear with current tires. I will find out after I get the spacers and try again at fitting the wheels.

EDIT:
Actually the wheels might be 16x8 with +10 offset from checking around online. But I coulda sworn I saw them stamped 16x8.5, and they look nearly 0 offset...

throw one thin washer behind the wheels on each lug. simple cheap and usually can find washers laying around the garage

Feels like your asking a question about stretching your tires but in a different way. I'm running 16x8 0 offset and clear the stock and type R calipers. I'm on 205/40. I'm sure you can run 195/45.

DO NOT USE WASHERS who ever suggested that is an idiot ! i can imagine only getting 2-3 turns out of your lugs after that idea not safe at all. get spacers we don't have the car infront of us so how can we say try 10mm at first
