What's up fellas is been a while since I'm on here
As some of you know that follow me on Instagram @itrdec , I'm slowly piecing together parts for my build. Well I'm pretty much there and I have one last piece to get before paint. The reason I want to pick up a jdm rear hatch is for the glass.

I want the clean look of no wiper and third brake light holes. My question is that I've seen a cw itr on here fs a while back and it had no defroster lines in the rear glass. Is this from factory or mod. If it is how can I do this. Here's a pic of it. I don't remember whose car it was but if they see this can you let me know, or anyone that knows.

You don't want that or your street car buddy it's lexan and will scratch very easy

 

Hey Dec, I put a Jdm rear glass on my last car it comes factory with Defroster lines.. Like rich said thats a Fal Lexin Glass there light weight and for the track etc. unfortunately they scratch and fog up/discolor pretty easy! im installing one soon but ill be going a different route with the car over the winter for next season.......

Thanks fellas. The car will be garaged and covered. I really like the look of the fal. Do you think I still shouldn't get it? It's def cheaper for me to get a jdm glass than this tho. But I love the clean look

 

I thought the JDM glass had no hole for the wiper?

The JDM ITR rear glass definitely has the defroster lines. Here's a picture of my old 98 ITR with the JDM hatch and glass.

 

nope, it doesn't. The wiper was an option delete in JDM land, but I never saw one with it. My JDM glass has no wiper, nor holes for the third brake light DC4 Rasta. It does have the defroster elements though. I've never seen one of any "DM" without that.
