i just got a call from a friend of mine. he told me that he accidentaly left his coolant resivor tank on his header when he was messin with his lights and forgot about it for like 2 days and then he noticed that he was leakin coolant fluid bad. when he checked he found out that he had burned a hole in it......idiot. haha well he replaced it with one from the junk yard and he asked if his car is gonne be messed up because when he replaced the tank he put strait coolant in and didn't mix it with water. he has been running it like this for about 3 months i think.....is he in trouble? according to him the car is running fine. no overheating.

 

LOL, my st00pid *** has done this not once but TWICE! I suck! Anyways, it will be fine with just coolant in there. I was using a beer can for like 2 months with mine, lol.

 

I would recommend more water than coolant, espcecially in Texas.

but it's not really a huge deal as long as the engine doesn't overheat.

also try some Redline Water Wetter in there.

 

water IS coolant.
its okay to put straight ANTI-FREEZE in there, im sure theres plenty of diluted
solution in the system to make it up.

 

I've done this before also. I ran without a reservoir for nearly 6 months, drain out on the ground. Reservoirs cost ~$35.
