Probably the most stupid question of the day, some of u r gonna give me a lotta crap about it.... but here goes.... the other night I got a lotta rain, the water rose high enough to make contact with my exhaut pipe, specially where its jointed (flanges) its the joints with 2 bolts with springs on them, anyway, I drove it down the highway for about 6 miles when it started sounding different. Instead of the woooough it was light and more of a soft sound. Question... could it be leaking at the joints? I also saw some rust parts falling of the middle of the flange. question 2, is there some sorta gasket that goes between there and what's it made out of? out of all the insulting replies, could someone actually be helpfull?

 

So where the header meets the cat or B pipe ? all that's there is the doughnut gasket a 7$ fix if it's crumbled/rusted away.

 

im thinking he is talking about where the manifold meets the cat.. he said the bolts with the springs.. but like B_Swapped93 said.. there is only the doughnut gasket there between the two pipes

 

Actualy its the last one before the muffler. It also has springs. What sorta gasket is there?
