Icon3 GSR integra major oil leak *PICS*

i have a 1997 integra gs-r.
I am convinced that the leak is coming from this aftermarket oil cooler
that the previous owner installed. but i am definitely not 100% sure

it only leaks after i start the car up, and when it leaks, it comes out fast.
this just happened out of no where, and im really trying to figure out the issue.

any advice would help. Here are some photos

Definitely looks like it's coming from the sandwich plate. Pull it off and run it with just a filter and see if it stops!

I can pull that blue thing off and just run the filter to the block? I thought the gsr has a stock oil cooler that goes to the block, and the filter connects to that

looks like you have a couple sensors hooked up to "that blue thing" but yeah just pull it off and take a look at the o-ring on it, maybe buy a better quality sandwich plate.

had this exact problem once.gasket on the sandwich adapter has collapsed with the heat of motor.
looks like they changed the oil filter screw to the type without the cooler so if you remove the sandwich adapter you should be able to screw your oil filter to that and it would stop leaking.

Not sure if you fixed it already or not, but yes you can remove the blue sandwich plate adapter completely and just put a filter there. The threaded stud you're screwing your filter onto now is threaded on to the existing stock oil filter location. Grab a wrench that fits that fitting and unscrew it all the way and pull the plate off.

It looks like you have an oil temp & oil pressure guage hooked up now. I would run the filter by itself and leave those disconnected until you can get a better sandwich plate adapter. This looks like a generic chinese ebay one.
