92 Accord LX Driving me crazy HELP!!!!!
Hope someone can help me figure this one out before I pull my hair out, Will explain my issue as best as possible. I have a 92 Accord LX Sedan with a 5speed with just a little under 286k miles on it and have developed a problem that has me baffled, it first started about a month ago I commute to work 15 miles one way and first instance went to work in the am no problem on the return trip home with temps in the mid 90's I got about 3 miles from home when it coughed and sputtered but cleared up then made it about 300 yards from home and quit pushed it the rest of the way home and it sat all night then the next morning it started right up and ran perfect. Was told it could be the ignition control module failing when hot, coil and the main relay. I have replaced them all and drove it 3 days ago and went to work and back no problems then went to get back in it about 10 minutes after getting home and it would not start again so I checked for fire have that then pulled the fuel line off at the injector rail and no fuel so I then pulled the line from the tank off at the filter and no fuel so I think fuel pump but during this time the cooling fan is running with the key off which it has never done so I had to disconnect it at the temp sensor to get it to shut off. Let it sit for 2 days and went to roll it down my driveway and the darn thing fired right up so I left it parked and hooked the fan back up and it did not run, restarted it yesterday afternoon and it ran fine for 5 mins so I shut it off and the fan started running again so I tried to restart and it would not start could someone please tell me what the heck is going on before I pull what little hair I have left out. Thanks in advance Earl
Are there any stored codes?
Are the tune up items up to date?
When you say it won't start.....need to be clear. Is the starter spinning the engine over and it just won't run.......or when you turn the key the starter does nothing?
Also, just me, that is one big "blob" of text to read thru. You might try to give stupid people like me a break or two in your posts so we(I) can follow/understand......again, don't take that the wrong way. I admit that I'm old, slow and stupid.

Sorry for being long winded in my post. Do not have a scan tool to check for codes so if there is a way to check them by the check engine light that info would be helpful. Yes it turns over and will not fire, all tune up items are up to date. Is there something on these cars that will say shut it down if the ECU thinks the engine is overheating? The reason I ask is it will start now and run but if I shut it off and the cooling fan starts to run with the key off and even out of the switch I can go to restart and it will not fire and I can let it sit over night and it will fire again the next day.

Check for spark.....test for fuel. Sounds like heat soak is causing something to fail.
Next, for the fan running. Check the coolant level, bleed the cooling system.

Coolant level is fine had to add maybe 2 cups. Could it be the ECU heating up and causing this? The reason I ask is it has had weak spark before also no fuel as well but all is good after sitting over night. Plus after this mornings episode let it set for about 30 minutes hooked the temp sensor back up no fan running and it re fired but died out in about 5 seconds and fan began to run again and to be clear I am unhooking it at the upper hose sensor not the lower where the thermostat is. Well I say ECU heating up but it has done this in as little as 2 minutes of run time so I would not think it could get too hot in 2 minutes. Update just went to junk yard and got another ECU and still having the same problem, next step I guess is a gallon of gas and a match lol
