Default Valve springs for itr cams

I purchased supertech valve springs for use on my b16 with CTR cams. I read in some old topics that people say these were good to use with CTR's just recently i found the seat pressure for CTR's to be 50 lbs i believe. Would it be good to use these with the 70 lbs seat pressure. I always went and got titanium retainers but just read they wear in 20000k miles? Am i looking at excessive wear on my cams and rockers using these stiff springs?
Currently running oem 1st gen b16 springs and retainers.

Outer Spring -- 29.05mm OD -- 21.85mm ID
Inner Spring -- 20.50mm OD -- 15.50mm ID
70 lbs seat pressure -- 70 lbs @ 33.50mm
14.00mm Max Net Lift
19.50mm Coil Bind
10.00 lbs/mm Rate

I've never seen oem cams wear. I know allot of boosted guys will run stiffer springs with oem cams as well. Just be sure to set lash to correct settings. Your retainers will be fine - snap fit design

Should i just return them and try for used itr valvetrain or stick to the new stuff i got coming. Its gonna stay n/a and is my DD so my concerns are reliabilty aswell as performance.

Yes ti retainers will wear much faster than oem or stainless. For a race car that gets torn down every season ti retainers and valves daily driver OEM or stainless. You will be fine on the seat pressure with OEM cams its the regrinds that tend to fail. More seat pressure will just let u rev higher

Ti retainers wear when they are not the snap-fit design.^

OP - if you only plan on revving stock rpm and you can get your money back, I would return them. Unless you plan on upgrading your cams later down the road.

im using itr springs with itr cams in my lsvtec. i think they are pretty reliable up to 8700 and i have seen them float valves at 9000.

if i were you, i would return the retainers and pick up some of the 02-03 rsx retainers they are cost effective and will work fine. as for the itr valvesprings id put them in a box on a shelf. never know when you or a friend could use a set

ITR springs are good to 8700 for what cams? What happened when you "saw" them float at 9?

itr/ctr cams. wouldnt do that with a larger cam. i think the op said he has ctr's which is why i tossed that number out there. my first 84mm turbo setup had itr cams and springs with the limiter set at 8700. never had an issue

i know of 2 local cars that had piston to valve contact running itr springs up in the 9000 rpm range.

it should be noted that i am talking about the dual springs only, not the retainers. iirc the b series vtec oem retainers dont really like much more than 8400-8500 rpm.

Ahhh gotchya. I was gonna say...I've never seen R cams make power much past 8, but you were boosted so thats different.

ITR springs are very light. No margin of safety, IMO.

These are rates I measured.
