Hey do they sell an OEM Acura s80 type r tranny rebuild kit?

and is it possible to buy individual gears if you need them?

yes, on ebay you'll probably find one or you may have to piece one together at the dealer.


yes but it's not cheap you're better off getting a new one.

Why do you say it is better getting a new one? Isn't it like 2000$ for a new one? wouldnt that be more expensive??

 

by "new" I mean "used low millage" nope they're about $800ish from importers and can be found for less else where.

Not to mention the cost of rebuilding it and having it go out on you again 50 miles later. I would not say transmission work is easy. It's one of the most time consuming and difficult jobs I've ever done.
I ended up buying a new Type-R from Acura Las Vegas for about 1600$. Rebuilding at a shop is 800$+.
