Default My new CRV

I just bought my first CR-V last week and I feel I should post a bit about it. It is a 2000 with 4wd and the body has about 208xxx. It is a 5 speed with pretty good interior and the exterior isnt to bad. Very very little rust. It is sitting on prelude wheels that wont be there to long(want some nice TSX wheels). It has a B18C with right at 110xxx with a skunk 2 pro intake and an aftermarket fuel rail and FPR. It is fun to drive but the Suspension is god awful. it is sitting on ebay civic coilovers up front and heated springs in the rear. I am picking up a few things tomorrow from a wrecked V, including the stock suspention and a few interior parts like the power window motor. It has A/C and P/S which was a must for the misses. I plan on an aftermarket accord suspension swap with the TSX rims. Finding a seat from an automatic so I can get the armrest. Redoing the entire stereo system back to stock since it has a 30 walmart headunit, cheap front 6.5s and no speakers in the rear. I think it is a good platform to start with.

I have also darkened the taillights and cleaned up the headlight since I took these pictures

About 33 mpg on the hwy. Found a junked V today and took the rear carpet, the speakers, the rear springs, a few interior pieces, the power window motor, the muffler which is missing from mine, and a nice Kenwood stereo, got ride of the walmart special it came with. I had no idea replacing window motors was so much fun. the motor I grabed was for the other side and so when I hit up on the switch the window goes down and vise versa. But its all good. I have 4 working speakers, 4 working windows, and a tight engine and trans. Getting the wheels balanced tomorrow, and then ordering and installing a wheel bearing next week. Woo

Stop driving with your foot to the floor all the time lol.

Doing a tune would help if you have not done one yet and if the engine has high mileage.

Love it. Getting the wheels balanced right now. The previous owner pulled them off to paint the wheels but never replaced them so it shook like a blender on the expressway.

You need to replace the who thing. Dorman is the only company that make replaceable u joint for them that I know of, but they only fit their drive shafts. You can buy it new from Napa for less then a OEM Honda one cost.

I'm getting a set of them for mine still and going to make them fit. I'm taking mine to buddys shop to make the end caps fit.

Yeah that's what I figured. Well it could be worse. Good luck with making them fit. If I had the right tools I would give it a shot as well.

Well I welded the muffler back on, picking up struts and springs from an acura tl which are the same as a 02 accord and I am going to swap them in. Got 2 speakers for the rear, found a new shift **** and the carpet for the trunk. Had to swap out the drivers front window motor and put a kenwood head unit in instead of the autozone special that was there.

Nice man. You will like the Kenwood head unit. That's all I ever use, and it's been that ways for the last 15 years, you won't go wrong with that their.
