2000 HONDA CIVIC CX QUARTER PANEL REPAIR
I HAVE just bought a 2000 Honda civic cx manual everything with 319K for 850 i wanna soup it right up but wanna repair the body first the undercarriage is is perfect condition and there is only a bit of rust over my quarter panel wheel wells and i was wondering if i could get some pointer on body repair for this part since u cannot remove this panel or can you. thanks i will be happy with any help i can get.

sand to bare metal, if theres a hole, cut out rusty stuff, weld in new patch panel and grind weld. If no hole, fine puddy, seal, prime, paint, clear, wet/dry sand, buff. Your going to have to paint the whole quarter panel, or at least half of it and use a blending agent. A dime size rust spot on the quarter is not a simple job to be done correctly. If you dont know what your doing find a friend who does or take it to a shop. You can lay down the best paint, but if the work underneath wasnt done 100% it will look like crap. Also the color will determine the price. Black is the cheapest, I painted my truck an audi color (midnight pearl blue), sherwin williams wanted upwords of 900$ a gallon.
If you do it at home you need a good compressor, gun, moisture trap, and a ton of plastic just to get started. also if paint is faded it wont match.
