Icon7 type r tranny noise

Hey guys i know i asked a question about this already. But i couldnt really find the answer i was looking for, only found maybe 2 posts that had good info.

My car has a type r tranny with the lsd. When i am in neutral it makes a whining noise like a supercharger kind of thing ( only happens every few times and stays like that for a minute then goes away.) I was told that it would be the throwout bearing but that is only when the clutch is applied.

This happens when i dont have the clutch in and when i press it in the noise still sustains. It then goes away after a minute or two.

Now my question is how do i dertermine whether it is the input shaft bearing, pilot bearing, or anything else. This only happens when in neutral and the car makes no noise like that during acceleration or decceleration.

I was told it was the pilot bearing?? Just asking to make sure if you guys think that also.

And if i do replace the pilot bearing or any bearing would you guys recommend to replace the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, etc...?? ALso does this type of thing will it mess up my actual gears in the tranny? ( is this an immediate fix or can i wait a little longer?)

Thanks ~~ Help would be nice
