Default Neutral safety switch on 96 Honda accord

It's a 90% chance my car is having issues because of the neutral safety switch. Where exactly is it located my mechanic seems kind of confused so I want to make sure he's working on the correct area. He says its located under the center console where I have my gears. But I also read it could be by one if the tires. It's a EX 4 cylinder.

Should be #2 which is located at the gear select lever.

It could be intermittent. If there was a short in the switch and or the wires and they lost contact intermittently. A loose wire connector could do that as well.

Looks like I have the same problem. I was able to start it to get it home by taking the meter probe(as a wire) from 12v battery to the solenoid terminal (I believe "S" terminal), the smaller, of the two anyway. Got Korki out of a bad neighborhood . Troubleshooting time.

I'm curious to know if the neutral safety switch was indeed your issue? I have a 97 Honda Accord, and it intermittently just decides not to start, and one day I got curious and thought "hey I'll just jump the starter while I have the key in the on position and it should work", and thus like you, that's how I've started my car whenever I have the issue, which is becoming more frequent, so just curious to know if it actually was the switch. I just replaced the starter so I know that's good, as well as the electrical part of the ignition switch (both were worn out when replaced) and thus I'm down to this as my last conclusion.
