Default Fans NOT working at all & Lighter

Hello Everyone, this is my first post here.

I have a 1994 Honda Accord Ex I recently bought. I can't seem to figure out why the Fans are not working at all. I notice that the fans do not come on when I switch on the Fan and or AC. I get nothing blowing at all. The lil indicating lights work and so does the radio and dome light.

I have also noticed that the lighter is not working.

I have checked all fuses and are all good.

Let me know what you think, Thank you.

check the relays in the fuse box under the hood on the passenger side. if u have a friend that has the same model accord as use, borrow his and try to see if they work. if the fans dont kick in then you could have a wiring issue ormaybe ur fan motors are shot!

mrj_accord thanks for your response.

I will check the relay under the hood. Do you think it might be the blower motor relay as well??? (under the dash?)

the fans should kick in especially if ur using ur AC.
when u turn on ur heat/ac do u get air from the vents?
sometimes the motor gets clogged with dust, dirt, etc. so if u have no air coming out of the vents u might have to check it first. if it still doesnt spin then the motor is probably shot.

mrj,

Yeah, when I turn on the fan or a/c there is no air whatsoever that comes out, it doesnt matter how high I turn it up. The fan doesn't come on either.

Ive been researching this for some time today, some say it's the motor other say it can be the resistor or relay......sometimes even the switch.

take out ur blower motor and run wires into the clip and give it a light tap on the battery. see if it spins. no spin then u know that blower motor is shot. if it does spin then i would check relays and fuses before u start tearing into wires and looking for a short.
