Default b16a header fitment issue

I have a 1991 Honda civic DX hatchback with a swapped b16a from an sir-II sitting on has port mounts. I went out and picked up some of the vibrant 4-2-1 headers to use to increase the diameter of my exhaust to 2.5 inches. The vibrant header is one piece and I could not fit it in from the bottom between the engine block and the subframe brace so I was going to try from the top. Needless to say after removing everything off the front of the car, taking 2 of 3 motor mount out and lifting the engine a bit and even grinding down the subframe brace down as much as I was comfortable doing still no luck. I got the headed to seat in the bolts but could not lower the block without crushing the headers between the headers and the subframe. Unfortunately I'm 1000$ dollars into this upgrade with the BWR test pipe, the buddy club spec 2, and the headers. Can someone please help?

If you're not comfortable hacking up the crossmember anymore, then it's time to start shopping for a quality traction bar.

well to be perfectly honest i am not even sure what is to much for grinding off of that cross member. so an aftermarket traction bar is what would replace that oem crossmember?

if your cheap just cut the whole lip of it off, i habe about 1-2 inches cut in mine for my 4-1 header, be warned though 4-1 headers sit loooowwwww to the ground. my crx is stock height and they sit about 6 inches from the ground
