b18c Throttle body hole that feeds iacv
Hi.
I have a problem with my b18c-R.
HIgh idling when warm - 1.2K rpm.
I tried isolating by covering the hole in the TB.
I believe this hole feeds the IACV.
Engine died after covering this hole.
I need help to confirm if this indicate a bad IACV?
thanks

i jus had the same problem with my civic.. have you actually tried taking it off and cleaning it? they are very notorious for going bad. i would un bolt it and clean it. its a easy task. i would try that and go from there
Yes I have cleaned it.
Still the same.
Is this hole in the TB the feed for IACV?
If yes, if engine dies after covering it, what does it indicate?
Failed IACV?
I just want to confirm.
I am referring to item #7 on this guide: http://www.ef-honda.com/ben/Badidle.php

Next cover both holes up with your fingers. The car should sputter and die (or almost die). If it does then the source of your crappy idle is the IACV. Replace it
