b18c-R high idle -1200
Good day.
I am having problems with my idle.
Idle is at 1200.
stock p73 ecu.
idle screw adjustment is set all the way down.
i tried removing iacv socket to check my base idle but engine goes down.
i'm pretty sure there is no vacuum leaks.
i have cleaned the tb and iacv already.
Is this a bad iacv or tb?
need help.
thanks

Not yet.
I followed the idling troubleshooting guidelines.
IACV,TB cleaned.
ECU reset.
idle screw adjuster all the way down.
i tried removing the air cleaner tube.
I covered the hole feed for IACV in the TB.
engine died.
I am waiting confirmation if this is a sign of a bad iacv.

I have done item number 7 in this guide:
http://www.ef-honda.com/ben/Badidle.php
I covered the hole in the throttle as seen in the photo (encircled in red).
I believe that's the hole feeding the iacv.
Engine dies when hole is covered.
Does this means, my TB is good?
And is probably the IAC that is the culprit?

It's the IACV my friend and just bite the bullet and buy a new one and repeat the installation procedure and you'll be set. I just went through the exact steps you did with my 96' DC2 and replaced it and it worked perfectly.
cable is loose enough.
I think if cable is too tight, engine should not shut off when I covered the hole in the TB that feeds the IACV.
I am thinking of replacing iacv, it's not cheap though..
